The Vision Van will again be at WakeMed Cary Hospital conducting free eye screenings on April 20, 2011. This is the third year the hospital has asked us to join them in participating in a free health fair for the benefit of all the hospital volunteers. Each volunteer has the opportunity to schedule appointments throughout the day for checkups, tests, etc. with all the different hospital departments.
The screening stations will be staffed with these same hospital volunteers as well as two ophthalmologists from the hospital. If any Lions would like to participate, you are certainly welcome. This would enable some of the hospital volunteers to focus on their own appointments and not have to allocate some of their day to the Vision Van.
