Our speaker this evening was PDG Herb Justice. He brought us a program on Campaign 100 to provide some updates and remind us of this important worldwide fundraising event.
Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) turned 50 years old in June of 2018. Through the awarding of over US $1 billion in grants, we have saved the sight of 9.1 million people through cataract surgeries. We’ve improved the lives of over 16 million children with the positive life skills taught in the Lions Quest program. We’ve been there for our neighbors, and communities around the world, when disaster has struck, awarding over US$118 million in disaster relief. We’ve supported the vaccination of millions of children from measles, saving countless lives.
