This evening we had the opportunity to present the proceeds from this years Apex Relays to coach Roy Cooper. The Apex Lions Relays are one of the best run track events in the state of North Carolina. This partnership began in 1979 and has been going strong for many years.
We had an amazing year and sold out the T-Shirts in record time! Next year we are considering making it possible to pre-order T-Shirts online so we can be sure that everyone gets the chance to buy a shirt if they want one. The total amount donated to the track team was just over $5400 and pictured above is Lion Joe’l Lynde presenting coach Roy Coooper with the check as Mayor Jacques Gilbert looks on and applauds.
