Former Town Manager, Bruce Radford
Our guest speaker for the second meeting in January was Bruce Radford, Town Manager for the Town Of Apex for past 14 years. He was our guest speaker during his first week as Town Manager. At that time Apex had a staff of 161 and when he left the post the count was 360 and continuing to increase.
The town population has grown very rapidly and is anticipated to hit 85,000 by the year 2026.
Bruce also reported that the Apex Peakway extension from Old US Hwy 1 around to Tingen Road is about ready to begin. That should help some with the increased traffic.
Bruce plans to open his own consulting firm now to aid new business developers coming to Apex.
