We have an open invitation to anyone who wants to know more about Lions or wishes to join our club. We meet on the first and third Thursdays 6:30 pm at the CC Jones Building at 309 Holleman St in Apex. A full dinner is served at every meeting and the dress is business casual. Meetings are prompt to open at 7 pm and close no later than 8 pm.
Chances are good that you have heard at least one story about a Lion who has done something great in his or her local community. Since there have been active Lions Clubs all over the world for many years it was probably someone you knew and it happened in YOUR local community! Many people know a family member or friend who is a Lion and people are eager to share great stories about what Lions have done in the town they grew up in. Well, right here in Apex you have a great group of men and women in our Lions Club with a long tradition of doing great things to help others and to make Apex a better place. If you want to be part of the largest service organization in the world or just want to know more about Lions and what they do, come have dinner with us. We are eager to share our mission and goals.
The Apex Lions Club has designated September as the kickoff month for new members. With that the first meeting of the month, September 5, members are challenged to bring guests to learn more about the Lions. We will share the Apex Lions Club’s long history in the community as well as what the club goals and objective are. The second meeting, September 19, will be aimed at Apex Chamber of Commerce members. An open invitation has been extended to all Apex Chamber members to join the Lions for dinner on this night with the same focus on learning more about the Lions. With a focus on how the area business men 75 years ago decided to form a Lions club in the sleepy little Town of Apex. That tradition continues today and we want them to know and become a part of that effort.
Our Motto WE SERVE gives a good hint about us. If you would like to talk to someone please feel free to call our membership chair, Horace Johnson at 919-218-3454.
