This evening we had our annual joint meeting which is a tradition that has stood for many years. The Apex Lions Club sponsored the Fuquay Varina Lions Club and helped them get started. So we have a tradition of getting back together at least once each year to see how things are going. The Fuquay Varina club has two big fund raisers. One is a Christmas Tree sale and the other is a golf tournament. The Christmas Tree sale brought in approximately $11,500 and the golf tournament is still to come. And they were awarded a new patch for their banner based on last year’s membership retension since they gained a total of 8 new members last club year. Great work Fuquay Varina Club!
