A little fellowship and family time are important parts of what make service organizations strong. At our most recent Apex Lions Club meeting, we set aside our usual guest speaker and enjoyed an evening focused on friendship, family, and appreciation.
Members were joined by spouses and family members for a relaxed picnic gathering. While much of our work throughout the year is dedicated to serving others, this evening gave us an opportunity to slow down, spend time together, and recognize the support our families provide behind the scenes. Their encouragement and understanding help make our community service possible.
The evening also included the installation of our club officers. As new and returning leaders prepare for the coming year, we remain committed to serving the Apex community and supporting the mission of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service club organization. Together, we continue to focus on helping those in need, particularly blind and visually impaired people, while supporting a variety of local programs and organizations.

Service is important, but fellowship is too. Strong friendships and shared experiences help build a stronger club, and stronger clubs can make an even greater difference in the communities they serve.
As we begin another year of service, we are grateful for the members and families who make the Apex Lions Club such a special part of our community. If you are looking for a way to give back, make new friends, and serve alongside neighbors who care about Apex, we would love to have you join us.
