Once again this year the Apex Lions Club performed free vision screenings at Touch-A-Truck. We had a tent setup outside with information about Lions clubs and we sent people into the gymnasium to get screened. It’s important to do the screenings inside because it requires a slight dilation of the eyes which can only be achieved in a room without a lot of sunlight.
And this may have been our best year yet. We performed a total of 46 screenings! Given the number of people who were there it was a very impressive count. We are proud to perform this service and we are thankful for all who take advantage of it when we do.
