Bandit Flight Team

Jim Kilpatrick is founder, Team Leader and lead pilot for the Bandit Flight Team. He graduating from Western Carolina University in 1968 then joined the Air Force as a pilot. He was a fighter pilots and flew 257 missions in the F-100 Super Saber in Viet Nam and among his medals he holds two Distinguished Flying Cross Medals, thirteen Air Medals, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. After the Air Force Jim flew for American Airlines for 34 years in various aircraft across the United States, South American, Europe, and the Far East. He was a Check Airmen on the Boeing 757 & Boeing 767 and retired in 2006 after flying the Boeing 777 to Tokyo and London. After retirement he formed the Bandit Flight. He and his wife Beverly have lived in Cary, N.C. for over 30 years where they raised their four daughters.

This evening Jim was our guest speaker along with his lovely assistant (and wife) Bev. Jim shared some videos of past performances and shared some of the “behind the scenes” details of the operation. Countless hours of training and dedication go into this work. And much of the cost is born by the pilots, themselves.
