Our first order of business was to present a check to Coach Roy Cooper for the proceeds from this year’s Apex High Relays. Committee Co-Chair James Herndon presented the check.
Coach Cooper thanked us for our support over the years, said this event was one of the largest in NC. This was the 40th year for this event. He also talked briefly about the brand new high school and how nice it was. And he informed us that the old concession stand we had used previously was no longer there but two new stands had been built. Coach Cooper also invited the club to take a tour of the new school and he would personally give the tour. We will be sending an email to the membership to see who would be interested after the fair.
