Every year for as long as any of us can remember we have invited the kids from the Governor Morehead School for the Blind to visit our food booth at the NC State Fair for a meal on us. That is just one way we support the blind and visually impaired in our communities as Lions. But this past October, due to covid restrictions, the children were not able to attend the State Fair. So, instead, the school decided to have their own smaller version and have a “Fall Festival”. Of course, we were happy to provide a donation to support that event.
It must have been a huge success! Here are some of the “Thank You” cards that we got from the kids. The last card was especially cool because it was printed on a Braille printer (and someone provided us a transcription as well so we could understand it). See the scans below:
