2026 Apex Lions Relays

By | April 18, 2026

This year’s Apex Lions Relays on Saturday, April 18th brought together an incredible showing of talent and school spirit, with more than 50 high schools from across North Carolina competing at Apex High School. From the opening events to the final races, the meet was filled with determination, teamwork, and standout performances that made the day memorable for athletes and spectators alike.

The Apex Lions Club was there every step of the way, volunteering their time to keep the event running smoothly. From organizing concessions to selling the ever popular event T shirts, their presence helped create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere. Those shirts continue to be a favorite tradition, giving athletes something to take home as a reminder of their effort and achievements on the track.

What makes the Apex Lions Relays especially meaningful is where the support goes. All proceeds from concessions and T shirt sales go directly to the Apex High School Track and Field Team. This long standing commitment reflects the deep connection many Apex Lions members have to the program, with several having once competed on the same track themselves.

For decades, this meet has grown into a cornerstone event for high school track and field in the region. Each year it brings new energy, new competitors, and new milestones. The 2026 meet was no exception, continuing a tradition built on community, opportunity, and the drive to be just a little bit better than the year before.
