Understanding Medicare with Mandy Levine

The Apex Lions Club recently had the pleasure of welcoming Mandy Levine, founder of Mandy Knows Medicare, as a guest speaker at one of our regular meetings. Mandy specializes in helping individuals understand when and how to enroll in Medicare, clarifying the options available, and avoiding common misconceptions and late enrollment penalties. Her visit was both educational and inspiring, offering information that benefits not only our members but also the many people we serve in the Apex community.

With over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, Mandy has been specializing in Medicare since 2020, guiding individuals through the often confusing process of enrollment and plan selection. Drawing on her background in healthcare management, small medical practice ownership, and teaching, she brings a well-rounded and highly informed perspective to her work. She partners with most major insurance companies, ensuring that her clients have access to the best options available to fit their needs.

Mandy shared her four-step approach to supporting clients: teach, select, paperwork, and support. She teaches individuals about the different parts of Medicare and how they apply personally, helps select the best plan for their unique situation, manages all the enrollment paperwork, and provides ongoing support even after enrollment is complete.

Beyond her deep knowledge, what stood out most during her presentation was Mandy’s enthusiastic and passionate attitude. Her energy and compassion for helping others were evident from the start. She has a true passion for educating and empowering people so that they can make confident healthcare decisions without stress or confusion. Her genuine warmth and positive spirit made the session both informative and enjoyable.

Outside of her professional life, Mandy is a devoted wife and mother of two boys. She enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, dancing, and learning new things. Her curiosity and love for life were clear in the way she connected with our members.
