On September 4, 2025, the Apex Lions Club had the privilege of presenting a check to Coach Gilles and Coach Cooper at Apex High School. This donation represents the proceeds from the Apex High School Relays held last April, an event that brought together athletes, families, and community members for a day of competition and connection.

The Relays are more than a sporting event. They showcase the talent and dedication of our students while also providing a way for the community to rally behind them. By supporting the Apex High School Track Program, the Lions Club is helping students build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills that will benefit them both on and off the field.
As a club, we have a long history of investing in the Apex community, from vision care, eye exams, and eyeglasses to partnerships with local organizations. Supporting our schools like is one more way we demonstrate the Lions motto, “We Serve.” Every fundraiser and every hour of volunteer time goes directly into making Apex a stronger and healthier place to live.
Moments like these highlight the impact that service organizations can have when people work together. But the need is always greater than the number of hands available. If you have ever wondered how you could give back to your community in a meaningful way, we invite you to join us. The Apex Lions Club has been serving since 1937, and with your help, we can continue to support our schools, provide vision care, and meet many other community needs.
