Free Vision Screening at St. Mary Magdalene

By | October 21, 2024

On Monday, October 21st, Lion John Lynde served at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic School performing free vision screenings. This was organized by Lion Joe’l Lynde who is a teacher at the school.

Lion John and Nurse Wendy

Nurse Wendy coordinated the students of first, third and fifth grades to make this process as efficient as possible. Before lunch time we had performed a total of 154 screenings and made 6 referrals.

All students were courteous and cooperative and this went so well that nurse Wendy is going to consider possibly screening more grades next year or even expanding this to a more extensive health fair.

As Lions we are proud to serve in this way and would welcome other schools to reach out for similar service. It doesn’t matter if your school is a private school or a preschool just reach out to us if you would like to have us do a free vision screening for your students!
