We recently had an insightful meeting featuring Janet Mason, the executive director, and Rosa Scarborough, an instructor at Horse and Buddy. Rosa’s journey from a volunteer to an instructor at Horse and Buddy was highlighted during the discussion. This year all three of our scholarship recipients were from Apex Friendship High School! Michael Aveni plans to attend Appalachian State in the fall for a degree in Journalism. He was a member of our own Boy Scout Troop 209, worked at our fish fry, State Fair and participated in road side clean up services. He joined pack 312 as a …
