I got several updates to share so the following information comes from several sources. Please read the whole thing - there are several messages in here.

From Lion Horace:

For our meal we will have BBQ sandwiches, Mac and cheese, chips, and dessert. Drinks as well, as always.

From Lion Dave:
Fellow Lions,

Just a reminder that we will be holding our regular meeting this Thursday at 6:45 PM at the Jones building. Hope to see you there. Speaking with us is Abby Verchick, Assistant Director of Development at UNC Health Foundation. Topic: All About the UNC Children’s Hospital.

I am also including an announcement from the Garner club about a fundraiser this week. Scroll down for the message.

For 2023, I wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous year filled with family, friends and many good times together.

Lion Dave

From Lion Paul:
Happy New Year Lions!

I hope everyone had a great holiday break. I did and thankfully did not travel on the road or fly on Southwest airlines.
How about some New Year Resolutions!
As your membership chair, let’s start off this new year and make the following Apex Lions Club Resolutions.
(1) Make a least one of the monthly meetings (meeting attendance was low last year and even IF everyone made one regular meeting per month that would be an improvement)
(2) Bring a Guest – When you do, be sure to let myself and the Lion President know so we can provide a warm welcome.
So, see you this Thursday. Speaking with us is Abby Verchick, Assistant Director of Development at UNC Health Foundation. Topic: All About the UNC Children’s Hospital!
In closing, don’t feel obligated to come IF you are not feeling well. Unfortunately, there is a plethora of hybridized viruses roaming about. So, we STILL need to be conscious and considerate of our fellow Lions who for various reasons are more at risk in fending off these health menaces.
